Yoshi is Mario's dinosaur pal. While Miyamoto (Mario's creator) wanted him to have a dinosaut buddy from the very beginning, the technology didn't make it possible until 1990 and Super Mario World. Yoshi has since been one of the most recognizable faces of the franchise. Yoshi is 21 this year, so buy him a drink.
