The Walking Dead on AMC-Spoiler Free

The Walking Dead on AMC pretty much rocked.  It is pretty brutal stuff and I see why they put the disclaimer at the beginning.

The show is about people.  So far, I care about every character they have developed.  That is great because it creates immediate tension.  The characters all seem to have depth as well.

The creep out factor is pretty good.  One or two zombies are cool looking but not creepy, but the hordes are super creepy and super tense.  The FX are better than most zombie movies, I am looking at you zombie strippers.

This is going to be a show that I look forward to watching on a weekly basis.

Watched it in the dark to maximize the creepy factor. Oh yeah, I'm hooked. That scene with the tank... whew! lol

I liked how several parts were taken directly from the comic book. Thank the gods they didn't feel the need to re-invent the wheel. Those small character touches were great too. The guy not being able to put his zombie wife out of her misery and the cop who reluctantly could. The fact that he went back to that first zombie he encountered says alot about him. Just the kind of transition from comic to tv series that I was looking for.

TS-The living room light was out but my wife was doing something in the dining room, so no complete darkness for me. She wouldn't watch it with me.

Kal-Don't tell anyone, but I haven't read the comic. . .yet. will def have to check it out now.

Watched it last night -- really well done and creepy. A good use of the single stupid zombie, the single stupid zombie, the single stupid zombie and then WHAM!!!!

I watched it last night also. Waited until all were in bed. I really liked it a lot. If the rest of it is anything like the first episode, I'm a happy camper...
When he turned the corner on the horse and saw all the zombies...
wow!
