SyFy Channel wants to ruin motion pictures too!

The Orlando Sentinal is reporting that Universal Pictures and Syfy may be partnering to form a division specifically for science fiction movies. I am not sure what the advantages of working with Syfy would be, besides knowing that the movie would be shown on at least one channel after its run on DVD. The downsides are obvious to anyone that has watched an original Syfy movie.
