The History of the Batmobile

I prefer the designs based on real cars the most, I think.  There are some really cool ones in here.  Thanks Hammerclass and Pop Culture Safari for bringing this to my attention.  Batmobile History

that was really cool and very interesting! I had no idea (or no memory) that there were so many versions and changes.

Great post!

Sweet, but they forgot Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns batmobile/tank from the 1985-86. It was fairly influenctial on future tankish versions.

Oh, yeah, they didn't seemed worried about continuity so they should have added that.

Cool infographic, man! I have to agree with Nick, though. The Dark Knight Returns original tank version of the Batmobile should have been added there. Anyway, of all these cars in the image, I want to drive the Tim Burton version and the one with the Chrysler as the base. Oh, and the Tumbler, too, just for kicks. Haha!

It looks like this was patterned on the original comic strips. LOL! The illustrations are detailed, and kids will surely be interested in reading that. I'll show it to my son, he loves Batman shows. :)
